This free zone has become the industrial centre of the Emirate of Sharjah. Hamriyah Free Zone, as the next generation free zone, ensures that its administration is adaptable, dynamic and investor centred free zone. Investors immediately set up the company in the Hamriyah Free Zone, as this has been declared a “designated area” for VAT purposes.

The Hamriyah Free Zone is challenged to provide competitive incentives and unique opportunities to start a business in a tax-free country, with full business ownership, exemption from all corporate taxes, and capital repatriation and benefits. Types of Licenses Available in HFZA

The types of licenses available in Hamriyah Free Zone Authority are:

Trading

This license grants the holder the right to import, export, sell, distribute and store the goods specified in the license.

General Trading

This license allows trade (import, export) of an unlimited number of products.

E-Commerce

This license allows the holder to trade goods and services over online media.

Service License

This license gives the holder the right to provide services or consulting services listed in the clauses of the license agreement.

Industrial License

This license allows the holder to import raw materials for the manufacture, processing and/or assembly of certain products, packaging and export of finished products.

Hamriyah Free Zone Company Setup

Hamriyah Free Zone can be set within 1 working day. Signing up for a warehouse takes a little longer as you need to create a business plan for approval. Some activities require third party approval, such as approval from the Ministry of Health for trade-in medical supplies. This will also take additional time. The documents you need for company registration are:

  • Passport copy
  • Passport size photo
  • Copy of previous entry stamp to UAE
  • Business plan only for certain activities
  • No Objection Letter (NOC) in case your visa is issued by another company/sponsor

The documents you will receive after registering the company are electronic. Only memorandums and lease agreements will be made available to you in paper form.

Hamriyah Free Zone Visa

Hamriyah is flexible with a visa that allows you to open a business that meets the requirements of 1 to 7 visas. It suggested many other ways to get a visa to stay in UAE as there are many visas out there without renting an office. The storage facility allows you to open up to 50 visas. An investor or partner visa is valid for 3 years, and an employee visa - 2 years.

License Renewal

Every company in the Al Hamriyah Free Zone must be renewed every year. The government must provide an audit report during the renewal. You should start the audit after the 2nd year of operation. There is the option of signing the affidavit and paying a fee of AED 1000 if you are unable to submit an audit report. Incidentally, extensions can also be made without the direct presence of shareholders.
