Dubai is assisted by the state government just by registering your company. In addition, there are several advantages offered to new investors and entrepreneurs:
Branch of a foreign company, sole establishment and limited liability company is allowed for Meydan Free Zone Company
Only individual directors are allowed in the Meydan Free Zone Company. Company directors are not allowed.
Bearer shares are not permitted. All shares must be redeemed in full at the time of distribution. No other Meydan Free Zone Company stock classes are permitted.
At least one shareholder for Meydan or a maximum of 7 shareholders is required. At least one director is required. You can become a partner/shareholder in many companies.
The Meydan Free Zone Company appoints an auditor and provides an annual report at the request of the authorities.
The minimum share capital for new companies and subsidiaries is AED 100,000 per company. Branches are exempt from the requirement for additional capital.
Every company in the Meydan Free Zone must have a manager who must also have a company visa. Must be a natural person and the name must be licensed.
Shareholders must be physically present in the free zone, alone or through an attorney.
Company names in the Meydan Free Zone should end with the word "LLC-FZ". Place names and religious words are prohibited.
Such companies are subject to the laws of the United Arab Emirates as a whole and certain special functions of the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Meydan Free Zone only works with Flexi-Desk
Driver's license and other functions need to be implemented by Dubai Government Services.
Meydan Free Zone offers a wide variety of activities grouped under commercial, consulting or media licenses.
This type of license in Meydan Free Zone covers all types of media, advertising and communication services.
With this license, you are enabled of doing consulting activities such as management, corporate, personnel consulting and other professional services.
This license allows the foreign investor or entrepreneurs to import/export, trade and distribution various types of goods. Please note that Meydan Free Zone does not currently offer any storage space.
The Meydan Free Zone is an ideal solution for freelancers or small start-ups as it offers many competitive licensing options. It can also be an ideal solution for those who want to start a business near downtown Dubai.
The cost of starting a business in the Meydan Free Zone is may be as low as AED 21,020. This includes licensing fees for the first year, company registration fees, deed of incorporation, company name reservations, articles of association (even if the company has only one shareholder).
In addition, a desk must be rented in the free zone for each visa required (minimum 1 desk must be rented). Tables are shared and can be used 4 hours a week. The company must open the file with the Immigration Service.
The Meydan Free Zone does not currently offer physical offices. Free Zone only advertises Flexi Desk at standard prices, as mentioned above. Eligibility for visas can be adjusted based on the company's business plan and agency approval.
